Character Word for December:
Peacefulness
Being peaceful involves being
calm and relaxed. We work each day to
take care of our bodies by brushing our teeth, eating a good breakfast, and
going to be early. It is also important
to take care of our body and mind by finding ways to be relaxed and calm. Here are a few ways you can work towards
feeling peaceful;
· 1, Declare a
“technology time-out” day! Grab a friend and play a board game, ride your bike,
or read a book.
· 2. Clean up
your room! Clutter and a messy room
sometimes make us feel more chaotic. A
tidy space can help create a peaceful place.
· 3. Listen more
than speak. Take the time to listen to a
friend if they need someone to talk with.
· 4. Practice
belly breathing! If you are not sure
how, ask Mrs. Perrow for a quick lesson or Elmo provides a great example at http://www.calmclassroom.com/blog/belly-breathing-on-sesame-street/
